The story behind Itz'ana

Itz'ana Resort & Residences

Itz'ana is named after the Mayan god of day and night, fitting for a property that sits between two very different waters: the open Caribbean on one side and the calm Placencia Lagoon on the other.

    Origins

    Itz'ana Resort & Residences was developed by The Foundry Collective, led by Irish brothers Colin and Ronan Hannan, who broke ground in Placencia, Belize in November 2015. Colin Hannan said that after coming to Belize a decade earlier, they knew it would become a world-class destination because of its natural beauty, culture, and proximity to major markets. The resort opened in December 2016.
