Itz'ana was renovated in 2018, taking it from a small hotel to a luxury beachfront resort. The construction included furnished two-bedroom villas and residences, surrounded by mature trees that were replanted to preserve the original natural landscapes.

There is a 30-minute flight on Tropic Air and Maya Air from the Belize City Airport to Placencia. A representative from Itz'ana will pick you up from the Placencia airport and take you to the resort.

Placencia has transformed from a sleepy fishing village into an international vacation destination. Placencia offers endless outdoor adventures, including scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, and tours to cayes, Mayan ruins, and chocolate farms. We would not advise taking a taxi from Belize City Airport. We recommend arranging private transportation to Itz'ana Resort. Transport is $350.00 USD + tax and takes around 3.5 hours. If you take the internal hopper flight, the transfer from Placencia airstrip is complimentary. Contact our concierge to arrange air and land transfers.

The resort is located near several rental car companies. The front desk and concierge can assist in booking your car rental reservation.

The drive by car from Belize City Airport it is 3 ½ hours. The drive from Placencia Airport is 7 minutes.

The Belize climate is subtropical, with a cooling breeze from the Caribbean Sea. Belize has an annual average temperature of 79 degrees Fahrenheit (26 C). Summer high temperatures seldom exceed 94 degrees Fahrenheit (34 C), and winter lows are rarely below 60 degrees Fahrenheit (16 C) - even at night.

The Belize rainy season is between June and August and is the most beautiful time of year when the rainforests come to life and burst of mid-afternoon rain serves to cool. The dry season is from February through May. Please contact us if you would like to know what the Belize climate is like now.

There is a 3% administration fee from the total reservation for any cancelation. Guests should refer to their cancelation policy at the time of booking. Cancelations will be processed and refunded according to the policy.

Yes, the resort offers spa services in your villa, including massage, with professional therapists. You can book spa treatments at the front desk or through the concierge.

The resort is still under construction with a new fitness center on the way. Our gym will be open in late 2024.

Yes. The resort features the Main Hotel Pool, just east of The Great House, and the Harbor House Kids Pool, which is currently under construction. Several of our Lagoon and Beachfront Villas have private plunge pools including our two penthouses. Guests also enjoy complimentary pool towels.

Currently our beachfront area is 100% completed and operational, therefore the resort seems to be completed, however in front on the lagoon side we are still under construction for our lagoon side villas and other resort amenities, expected completion date is late 2024
