We're kicking off the new year with a celebration. We've added ten (TEN!!!) new homeowners to our growing family since the start of this month, meaning we're getting ever closer to putting a "Sold Out" sign on our doorstep, and our team has made incredible progress so far this winter.
The hotel is coming together, the residences are getting their infrastructure installed, and - most exciting to our recent visitors - the pool is already open!
With The New York Times naming Itz'ana as one of the reasons Placencia is on its list of 52 Places to Go in 2017, we're really starting the year off with a bang!
It's hard to believe that one year ago we had just begun construction. And now some of our dear homeowners, the Zdeblicks, are able to enjoy their inaugural dip in the Itz'ana pool
And we're not the only ones hard at work to bring more people to this Central American paradise! Southwest just announced direct flights from Fort Lauderdale and added more frequent itineraries to their Denver->Belize route. They join a constantly-growing list of airlines offering frequent connections to Belize City... and Itz'ana is only a 25-minute flight away!
The momentum is really picking up here on the beaches of Placencia.
Our team's dream is fast becoming a reality. And our homeowners have a lot to look forward to as the lagoonside villas are starting to take shape.
The cherry on top of our January sundae is the international news coverage Itz'ana has received.
In addition to The New York Times, Robb Report named Itz'ana one of The Most Anticipated Hotel Openings of 2017, the New York Post put us on their list of The World's Hottest New Hotels, and the Financial Times included Itz'ana on their roundup of Luxurious Belize Getaways saying "with improved flight connections this winter, it makes sense to pay a visit to Belize sooner rather than later."
And then Forbes called us one of The Top 3 Retreats To Detox From Modern Life, encouraging readers to "keep the secret" of how amazing Belize can be.
So it's safe to say we're feeling pretty on top of the world right now.
And with the Caribbean Journal reporting that Belize is having a massive surge in tourism growth, it looks like we're not the only ones getting excited about our slice of paradise!
