This month, in honor of International Yoga Day, we are delighted to announce a new addition to our wellness initiatives with the introduction of our new yoga instructor, Brice Dial. As the owner of Positive Vibration Yoga in Placencia, Brice is no stranger to the Peninsula or to the practice of yoga. Brice is an integral member of the local community here in Placencia, offering weekly community classes in the village. She also frequently travels throughout Belize offering wellness retreats in collaboration with various resorts. Brice is also the yoga and meditation instructor for our upcoming Healing and Nourishing Retreat.
Brice Dial's Background
Brice initially discovered her passion for yoga in her early twenties. She later opened a restaurant in Placencia and started a family, eventually losing touch with her yoga practice. Along with life changes came stress. Brice knew she needed to find a healthy way to cope with the stress she was facing, and rediscovered her love for yoga. She drove straight to Just Be Yoga Studio owned by Agnes Balawejder-Busch at the time and she never looked back. Classes with Agnes changed Brice's life for the better. She began to realize that with yoga, everything was becoming more manageable. Soon, Brice was able to take her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training with Agnes as her instructor through Om Shanti Yoga and Wellness Center and School Ltd.
Fast forward to 2018, Brice was blessed with a scholarship, granted by the Government of India, to study Health and Yoga in Bangalore at S-VYASA Yoga University. That experience was life-changing for Brice! Since her return from India, she has become an ROC Ambassador. She began teaching two weekly community classes in Placencia. "A healthy mind creates a healthy body. Stress in the mind creates sickness in the body." Learning to deal with the daily stress of life through yoga and meditation is her aim and approach to teaching yoga. During the pandemic, Brice enrolled for another 200-hour teacher training with Sattva Yoga Academy, learning yoga stemming from the Himalayan Yog-Vedentic teachings. These teachings come from the Sattva Kundalini and Kriya Tradition. Recently Brice was called to learn more about sharing yoga with expecting mothers, and also completed a Prenatal Yoga course with Sattva Yoga Academy. Brice is passionate about wellness through yoga, and loves sharing her knowledge and practice through her weekly classes and with yoga retreats.
