Arriving in Belize
Our guests coming in on international flights will be arriving at the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport in Belize City. The Belize Tourism Board has given 3 quick and straightforward steps to prepare and streamline arrivals amidst Covid-19 precautions.
- Download the Belize Health App on your mobile device and complete information needed.
- Get a PCR test done within 72 hours of the flight. (Update: PCR tests up to 96 hours are now accepted. No testing is required for travelers who provide proof of vaccination!)
- Remember to wear a mask and social distance during your stay. Utilize the list of Gold Standard restaurants, tour sites, and so much more!
Land Travel to Itz'ana
A personal driver will be sent to receive guests and whisk them away on a 3 ½ hour drive through the majestic Maya mountains. The scenery is sure to take one's breath away, fog covered mountain tops, jungle around each bend and the coastal road teasing as to what awaits at Itz'ana. Belize's diverse ecosystems take a person on a journey through what are many awe inspiring moments which are quite easily shown off to all its visitors.
Air Travel to Itz'ana
A timesaving choice is to book a direct flight from Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport to the Placencia airstrip via Tropic Air or Maya Island. A 14-seater plane will take passengers to new heights on this 40-minute flight. Soak in the aerial view of the inland mountains, an untouched coastline of every colour of blue and the uninhabited cayes placed so delicately in the beckoning Caribbean Sea. From the local airstrip to Itz'ana is a brief 7-minute drive.
Our guest's health and safety are of utmost importance to us! Prior to leaving the airport, temperatures will be checked, as well as a briefing of procedures by our drivers. Before and after each trip our vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, and before entering vehicles we supply hand sanitation. Masks will be worn in the vehicle by staff and guests, as per GOB mandate. Our vehicle capacity is limited to avoid crowding and for your safety.
